Diaper Bag Suggestions.

Wow, it has been a little while since I posted a little something. I have lots of pictures and stories to tell (which I will post soon). I just first needed to ask all you moms if you know of any good suggestions on a good diaper bag (and dads, if you are knowledgeable about this sort of thing). I have been through too many diaper bags since becoming a mom and I can't seem to find one that is sturdy and nice enough to meet my needs. Any suggestions?? I was thinking of posting a picture of the diaper bag I am currently using, but it is so torn up and tattered that it hardly looks like a diaper bag anymore. Thanks for taking the time.

My sister has made a few and really likes them. She made one for us but I think that she has made some improvements on the design. Anyway you can read about hers here.

When you see Gwen again ask to see ours and maybe let Gwen know what you are looking for. With some persuasion we might be able to get you one hand made!!

Good luck with the search!

I have really liked the one I have from Land's End. I've had it for a couple of years and it has held up great!

what colors do you want & I'll talk to my sister-in-law and have her do one.( I should have her teach me how to make them actually) They are great bags 100% washable and so sturdy! She makes them out of canvas and denim type fabrics.

This is a question I had a few weeks ago! The one we got from the hospital is almost dead. My sister's friend has one of these: http://www.sittingprettyhandbags.com/diaper.html
They are super cute (you can get any design from any of the other sections, ex. new bags, the bags). She said she loves hers and uses it all the time. So I'm jumping on the bandwagon (white & black daisy design). We'll see how it goes, they are worth looking at though (eventhough the are a little pricey). Good luck!

I've been through about a million as well and I wish I had an answer for you. I really like the bag I have now, but I had to pay $60 (which is actually a deal--they're usually over $100 but I found it on ebay NEW). It's from OiOi. It's really sturdy and cleans up easily. I even spilled a whole sippy cup of red crystal light in it! I also had a Lands End bag...but it was only good when we had a car...not to carry around all the time. I'm sure I'll be getting a new one in a few months because I consider it part of my wardrobe and when I wear it every day, I think it should be replaced every once in awhile! The next one I want to try is from Pottery Barn Kids...the back pack sling one. I'll let you know how it goes.

We've resorted to a backpack. We've been through so many diaper bags between our 3 kids and the backpack has held up the longest. It's also really nice to put on your back so its out of the way and not falling off your shoulder when you bend over to wipe a runny nose or tie a shoe.

My all time favorite diaper bag is not really a diaper bag per se...it is a messenger bag I bought through L.L. Bean and I love it. It has a big enough strap to adjust comfortably for both Jared and I. It comes in a ton of different colors and it has a ton of space and pockets. And as for durability...let me just say I've been using it since Jackson was born and there is hardly any external wear on it. And the best part is L.L. Bean's warranty on all their products, guaranteed for life. So if at any time it does break, rip, tear, or whatever, they will automatically (no questions asked) give you a brand new one! Can't beat that.
