Bushel and a Peck

Kayla has been singing this song all day. I just had to get a video of her cute little voice. Joe and I get a kick out of her voice cracking on the higher notes.

Elephant Parade

The Barnum & Bailey Circus has officially come to town. Today they had an elephant parade downtown. It was so fun to see the elephants parade down the streets. Kayla and Isaiah LOVE elephants, but Kayla was a little sad that they didn't throw candy (she was remembering the 4th of July parade in Ann Arbor).

The parade took about all of 1-2 minutes, but the kids loved it, and it was fun to see the huge smiles on their faces.

My mom was able to join us for the fun. Thanks for making the trip with us Mom!

Isaiah's Birthday

Because of all the craziness of our life lately, I forgot to post pictures of Isaiah's birthday which took place a few weeks ago. I can't believe that Isaiah is now 2. It's true, time goes faster and faster the more kids you have.

Because of the traumatic way Isaiah's grand entrance occurred and the pain we felt together during the birthing process, I have always had a special bond with Isaiah since he entered the world. Isaiah really is a special little boy. He adores his older sister Kayla and mimics almost everything she does. He even wants to play dress ups, but don't worry, he always has a truck, car, or tool in hand, and he truly is ALL boy. He makes me so happy to be his mom. He tells me often that he loves me, loves to hold my hand in the car, snuggle, and he is his "mama's little boy". I need to cling on to these moments before he becomes his "daddy's boy" and will be embarrassed to even hug me in public. I love my little boy so much and am so excited for all the future holds for us.

Isaiah LOVES horses, so for his birthday he wanted to feed the animals and ride the horsies.

Jail

Two prisoners on the loose. Anybody seen them?

Apples

Ever since being in Michigan, we can't get enough of apple orchards. We found a great little orchard that even makes their own apple cider. We are so happy we have found a nice little orchard here and plan to find more. We love fall in Michigan, but we are really enjoying it here in Utah. Come on over for some cider and apple pie soon.

Our little Ballerina

The long awaited day finally came for Kayla. She had her very first dance class today and did a wonderful job. I was amazed just how long her attention span is. She was so cute and next class I will be sure to get some video.

Kayla is so proud of her new dance outfit and especially her ballerina shoes.

Two handy men at work

Tonight our trusty Honda that has been good to us all these years had a little trouble. The kids and I picked Joe up at work, and all of the sudden, the car died on us. Thankfully we made it to Joe because I would have no idea what to do with 2 kids, stranded, and pregnant, could have been crazy. Well, we were able to get it started after about an hour wait and then we went to the car parts store and Joe worked on our car and was able to fix it. Here are some cute pictures of my boys at work.

Isaiah just got some tools for his birthday and they came in handy tonight.

Isaiah is truly ALL boy. He had so much fun hammering and sawing and learning from his Daddy.

Dreams do come true!!!

Joe and I can now officially breathe again!! We just found out yesterday that Joe has PASSED the bar!!!! We are so excited!! Law school is now in the past and Joe is very relieved that he doesn't have to take that monster test over again.

I am so proud of you Joe!! All those endless hours, early mornings, late and sleepless nights have payed off!!

It seemed so far away, but dreams really do come true with a lot of work and sacrifice.

Congrats JOE!!!

Whirlwind of events

I can't believe it has really been a whole month since I last posted anything. This will change, I promise. Just when I thought life would "kinda" slow down, it seems to have sped up faster and faster. We are now back in Utah, just trying to get settled. Kayla and Isaiah are DYING for friends, so if anyone would like to get together, let us know. I will be posting lots a pictures and new happenings really soon, until then............sorry for the loss of touch.
